Gumbinger Avram Architects, Inc. was incorporated in July 2001, as an offshoot of Gumbinger Associates Architects, originally conceived by Paul J. Gumbinger, FAIA in 1978. It has been operating in Downtown San Mateo for 30 years. Since its inception, it has earned prominence in the community for innovative and practical design solutions for private, corporate and public clients.

Current and recent projects encompass a wide cross-section of design types including quality single and multi-family residential, mixed-use, commercial and office buildings, medical/dental buildings and tenant improvements.

Other projects include, emergency shelters/transitional housing, residential care facilities, religious facilities, hotels, and private clubs. Most engineering services can be provided within the contract or can be contracted separately.

Among the services provided by the firm are: pre-design including master planning, site feasibility, analysis, and site selection; design functions including schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration and construction management including assistance in obtaining bids, or negotiated proposals, cost estimating, contract administration, job site meetings and on-site observations.   >more
